The Basketball Champions League (BCL) officially announced Ameresco SUNEL as the Presenting Partner for its milestone Season X, solidifying a strategic collaboration that began during the 2025 Final Four in Athens. The signing ceremony took place at FIBA’s global headquarters, the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland.
Representing SUNEL Group were CEO Konstantinos Zygouras, Chairman Miltiadis Zygouras, and Director of Corporate Affairs Michael Trontzos. From the BCL, CEO Patrick Comninos and Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer Benjamin Gauthier attended, alongside FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, who welcomed the delegation.
Building on a Successful Partnership
Season X marks the next phase in the collaboration between BCL and SUNEL, now led by Ameresco SUNEL, a joint venture between Ameresco Inc. (NYSE: AMRC) and SUNEL. The partnership aims to leverage expertise in Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and energy efficiency to promote sustainability across sports venues in Europe and beyond.
