Chicago Bulls Add Former Lottery Pick Kevin Knox to Roster

Veteran forward brings NBA experience and versatility

The Chicago Bulls have bolstered their roster with the signing of veteran forward Kevin Knox, the ninth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, league sources told Michael Scotto.

Knox, who was originally selected by the New York Knicks, brings seven seasons of NBA experience and the ability to play multiple positions, providing depth and flexibility to the Bulls’ frontcourt.

Knox’s NBA journey

Since entering the league, Knox has played for several teams, including the Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, and Golden State Warriors. While his last NBA season saw limited action — appearing in 14 games and averaging 3.3 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.4 assists while shooting an efficient 50% from the field — Knox has continued to showcase his scoring and rebounding skills in the G League.

With the Santa Cruz Warriors, the G League affiliate of Golden State, Knox averaged an impressive 25.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, demonstrating his capability to make an impact when given significant playing time.

What this means for the Bulls

Adding Knox gives Chicago additional depth in the forward rotation and a player with experience across multiple NBA systems. His versatility allows him to contribute both as a scorer and rebounder, potentially easing pressure on the team’s starters while providing valuable minutes off the bench.

With Knox now on board, the Bulls look to strengthen their squad as they aim to compete in a tightly contested Eastern Conference.
