Jannik Sinner Clinches Beijing Title, Beats Learner Tien 6-2, 6-2

Jannik Sinner continued his sensational 2025 season by powering past Learner Tien 6-2, 6-2 to win the China Open in Beijing, marking his third title of the year and the 21st of his career.

Sinner’s Dominance in Beijing

The Italian star asserted his authority from the first game, breaking Tien’s serve immediately and racing to a 4-1 lead in the opening set. Both players then held serve until Sinner sealed the 34-minute first set.

In the second set, Tien mounted some resistance, creating two break-point opportunities, but Sinner held firm, eventually closing out the match after 72 minutes.

Statistically, Sinner hit 24 winners to Tien’s 11, despite both players recording a similar number of unforced errors (Sinner 16, Tien 18).

Historic Achievement

This victory gives Sinner his second China Open title in three years, making him just the second man to win the event multiple times since it became an ATP 500-level tournament in 2009, joining Novak Djokovic (who won six times between 2009 and 2015).

It’s also his sixth ATP 500 title overall and his third title of 2025, following Grand Slam victories at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
